How often do people on vacation come across stray dogs that need help? Perhaps it’s a common occurrence. However, a rarer scenario would be someone taking the initiative to help such strays. After all, it’s easier to just move along.

When Weslie and Enes came across an injured puppy, they didn’t hesitate to lend a helping hand. They were traveling across Turkey at that time when they spotted him. The odd thing about this encounter was the dog being covered in blue spray paint.

The couple also saw other dogs near the area, but none seemed to care about the injured puppy. After an hour of deliberation, they decided to take the puppy and give him a thorough bath. They also gave him the name Blue. Later that night, they awoke to the puppy’s cries of agony, so they rushed him to a veterinarian.

The vets discovered that Blue’s injuries were caused by falling from a cliff. The couple then speculated that the blue paint might have been antiseptic spray. Someone might have come across him and sprayed him with it.

The vets told the couple that Blue would not survive the night if they hadn’t picked him up. At that point, the vets took care of Blue for 10 more days before returning him to the couple. He got his vaccine shots and everything other needed medication.

As much as Weslie and Enes wanted to keep Blue, their lifestyle doesn’t permit it. They are full-time travelers, so they won’t be able to give Blue a stable home. Fortunately, they found a family in Colorado willing to take him in.

Blue’s new family are the perfect people capable of giving him stability. They also have another dog that became a great companion for the puppy. The traveling couple made the right choice by bringing Blue to this specific family.
