When we have too much time in our hands, we sometimes find ourselves binge-watching videos on social media. Natalee Salvador admits being a victim of this internet ploy, but she saw something she wanted to try to her pets.

As she was browsing through her Facebook feed, she saw a video of a kitten playing with toilet paper strips taped to a ceiling fan. She wanted to try it to her cat Merlin, so she asked her husband to attach strands of tissue on their ceiling fan.

Of course, like every pet parent out there, she was excited to see her cat’s reaction. Unfortunately, Merlin didn’t buy the gimmick.

“He wasn’t convinced. Merlin saw the tissue paper hanging on the fan, but it didn’t excite him. He was his usual, snob self,” Natalee mentioned.

“We knew our cat wasn’t impressed, but we still didn’t remove the tissue strips. We were hoping that Merlin would change his mind and notice it,” she added.

Fortunately for this couple, their efforts weren’t put into waste. Their six-year-old dog Bentley saw the hanging tissue papers and went nuts over it.

“We weren’t really expecting Bentley to notice it, but that’s just who he is. He is easily distracted. He gets startled on the simplest things,” Natalee recalled.

The English Bulldog came running towards the strands of tissue papers as soon as he saw it. Natalee and her husband were surprised by the pup’s reaction, and Bentley enjoyed himself while playing with the tissue papers.

The pup jumped around non-stop. Natalee said that she doesn’t usually let Bentley do that because he might hurt himself, but he was having so much fun, and she didn’t want to take it away from him.

If not for that Facebook post, then we won’t be able to enjoy Bentley’s video. Take a look at it by clicking the link below!
