A stray dog named Inga was brought to the shelter in 2015. This means that the shelter has been her home for five years now.

Inga has had multiple failed adoptions. She keeps getting returned to the shelter, which was frustrating for her caretaker. Her caretaker, Amy, does admit that some of the adoptions were a little premature for Inga.

She needed more time to be with someone patient enough to teach her about socialization. Teaching dogs how to socialize is very crucial. This is especially true since Inga does not like interacting with other dogs.

Whenever Inga sees one, even from a distance, she would bark at it. Other dogs make her feel uncomfortable and threatened. This is one of the issues that Amy wanted to address.

Making Inga comfortable around other dogs could not be done overnight. It would need a lot of time and a lot of patience. Amy wanted to teach Inga this before she gives her for adoption again.

Amy already started Inga’s training, and she is amazed by how interactive and fun she is. Amy knows that one day, Inga will find the perfect family.

When Inga is ready to get adopted, Amy wants to find the right family for her. The ideal family for Inga would be someone who will show her how fun it is to be with other dogs.

Maybe that’s what her previous adopters lacked. They lacked the patience to empathize with Inga. Inga is a dog who truly needs a family who would at least try to understand her behavior.

They never showed Inga how friendly other dogs could be. That’s about to change once Amy finds Inga her family.

Until them, Amy is giving it her all to make Inga ready for her future family. Inga deserves a good home, and Amy will make sure she will be ready for one.
