A stray dog named Mazar was wandering alone on the streets of Afghanistan when he was struck by a car. Unfortunately for him, the accident crushed both of his hind legs and he was left dragging himself around with only his two front legs. But despite what happened to him, Mazar never lost his strong will to survive.
Mazar kept wandering around until he luckily ended up across a veterinarian clinic where he was taken in to be checked and treated. But because Mazar suffered traumatic injuries that needed major surgery and the vet had limited resources, there was surely only so much that they could actually do to help him.
So the vet decided to reach out for help. War Paws, an organization that helps canines in areas of civil conflict, came to Mazar’s aid and took care of the pup’s medical needs. He was flown over to the UK where he was given the necessary treatments and the operation he needed. The operation was a success and Mazar left his troubles behind with his broken legs.
After that, he only needed to wait for someone to adopt him and give him a new home. And although it was pretty common for dogs with physical disabilities to have trouble with this step, Mazar easily found a new mom.
A person named Helene took Mazar into her family along with her other dogs, cats, and a bunny. It was pretty big for a first family but Mazar settled right in. Now six years and going, Mazar’s life really did change for the better. It doesn’t even matter that he’s only going on his forelegs, he can still carry himself and run around on his own.
Mazar doesn’t even need wheels or any walking aids and he’s out to prove to everyone that he’s not disabled, he’s special.
