It’s no surprise that dogs can give birth to many puppies. But sometimes dogs can unexpectedly give birth to too many puppies. More than what the ultrasound showed. One particular household had this situation. It’s time to take a look at what the owner’s perspective is when they get too many puppies.
Back in South Korea, there’s a home with Vizsla dogs. Vizslas are the national dog of Hungary. Two Vizsla canines named Petty and Luben live in this home. But they’re not the only ones of the same breed living there. Petty gave birth to several puppies, 9 to be exact. That’s a lot.
When guests come inside the house, they are greeted with 9 hyper-energetic vizsla dogs. The SBS TV writer was overwhelmed with all the dogs showing her love. Luckily the owner knows how to calm them down with the power of dog treats.
Initially, the owners expected only 3 to 4 puppies from Petty. They didn’t expect so much to be born. Nevertheless, they took care of all of them even if sometimes they proved to be troublesome. The 4-month-old vizslas can get into all sorts of shenanigans. They would dig holes and even bite off the branch of the nearby pine tree.
Despite the trouble, the owners are okay with having a lot of dogs. Aside from the 9 puppies plus the parents, there’s also a Daschund named Laon. Laon used to be bigger than the vizslas when they were puppies. He quickly got outgrown.
Even with his small size, Laon is treated as one of the vizslas. The owners also call him the short-legged vizsla because of how much he is integrated into the pack. Sometimes he can’t catch up, but it doesn’t matter because Laon is treated well by his brothers.
Laon is also in charge of acting as the parents of the 9 puppies. Petty doesn’t want to be in crowded places; that’s why it’s up to Laon to be protective when needed.
