Perhaps the worst part about having a pet dog is the fact that they don’t live too long. The average lifespan of a pooch is around 13 years which is only a fraction of ours. Sadly, this means that our fur babies will only be around for around a decade, more or less, and then they’ll be gone.
When our pet pups pass away, it’s definitely heartbreaking, and it leaves holes in our hearts. But there is a way to fill that void, and that is to get a new pet doggo. However, many dog parents take a while before they become ready for a new fur baby, just like Tamara Alison.
This 26-year-old dog mom lost her pooch Safari back in 2015. Tamara was devastated when her fur baby died, and it took her three years to move on. In 2018, she told her boyfriend Joah Wood that she was ready for a new pupper, and she wanted a Blue Heeler and Border Collie mix.
However, Joah told his significant other that this kind of hybrid doggo is quite expensive, and they simply can’t afford it. But in truth, Joah scoured the internet for this kind of combination, and with the help of Tamara’s mom, Sandra, they were able to find a breeder! They decided to surprise Tamara with the pooch on her 23rd birthday to make it more special.
Fortunately for the birthday girl, the party hasn’t started yet when Joah brought the pooch named Macky. Because when he showed the pupper to Tamara, she started crying tears of joy!
The birthday girl couldn’t stop crying because she really thought that they couldn’t afford the dog of her dreams. When Joah asked Tamara if she likes Macky, she replied with, “I love her!” Hopefully, this new pooch will make the birthday girl whole again.
