A local rescuer received an email about two dogs that went into a backyard. When the rescuer and her team got there, they learned that the dog gave birth just before they arrived. When they saw the dog’s location, they were happy that it was in a gated backyard. This prevented the dogs from running away.

When they went inside the yard, they saw that the two dogs were quite wary of them. The male dog even tried to run away. Since the two adult dogs were a little scared, the rescuers placed the puppies in a kennel first.

They needed to hurry because one of the puppies felt cold, and they needed to raise its temperature. The local rescuers wrapped it in a blanket before putting it inside the kennel to help keep it warm. Getting the puppies was easy. Getting the two dogs was the challenging part.

The rescuers found a way to put the two dogs in an enclosed area. There, they tried talking to the dogs to calm them down. One of the rescuers also gave the mother dog a few treats to help her relax.

It took a while, but they were still successful. The rescuers then took the two dogs and placed them in a kennel. The rescuers wanted to make the dogs very comfortable, so they did not bring them to the shelter. Instead, one of the rescuers brought them home.

The rescuer, Loreta, even gave the family a home-cooked meal. The family was grateful. The rescuers were thankful as well to see that the dogs adjusted well.

They even saw how the father dog helped take care of their puppies. The two dogs, Carrie and Mr. Big were terrific with their four beautiful puppies. Their parenting skill was quite impressive.
