A recent study showed that classical music creates a soothing effect on dogs. According to the study, after the dogs included in the study were exposed to classical music, there has been a noticeable change with their pulse rate. The dogs’ anxiety levels also decreased.
Lately, more and more dog owners are gradually exposing their pet dogs to classical music. Orchestral music is usually considered fit for highly intellectual individuals and those who belong in the upper class. Some bring their pets to orchestra concerts, so they get to experience listening to such kind of music. These pet owners probably think their pets would also become intellectual just like them the more they are exposed to orchestral music.
During the Izmir Festival held at Ephesus Turkey, one lucky dog got the best seat in the concert venue. Why? Simply because this awesome dog just casually went onstage while the Vienna Chamber Orchestra is performing. He even calmly positioned himself in front of the violin player.
The orchestra is smoothly playing a Felix Mendelssohn masterpiece when the dog nonchalantly came into the stage. People who saw the scene were thinking the dog must be enjoying the music just like the rest of the crowd. The dog then stopped for a while at the stage as the audience could not help but burst into laughter. It is indeed an incredible scene to watch a dog stand in the middle of the stage while a world-renowned orchestra is playing.
Just a few minutes later, the dog just simply laid down on the stage, and then it comfortably dozed off. What the dog did initiate more laughter from the audience. Luckily, the musicians did not get distracted by the dog. Everyone who attended the concert thought that the dog’s antics are a bonus that made their day. Some are even hoping that the dog would guest in one of the orchestra’s concerts in the future.
