One day, Marcy Meritt walked her dogs through a park. It was quiet and there was no one else around, so seeing a stray dog surprised her.
Marcy noticed that the stray followed them from a distance and she got nervous. Fortunately, the stray was very nice and made herself at home with the rest of Marcy’s dogs.
Marcy has two cats, two dogs, and three foster dogs. She suspected that she was about to foster another dog that day. The stray happily followed Marcy and her dogs through the park. It was like the stray waited for Marcy to find her.
Marcy fosters the stray
Once they reached the end of their walk, the stray suddenly raced ahead of Marcy and her dogs. It was as if she knew where to find Marcy’s car. By that point, the stray didn’t need to convince Marcy anymore. The kind woman just let the stray hop inside the car.
The stray looked very happy and comfortable as she rode in the car. After the stray settled in her new home, Marcy checked if she had a microchip. Apparently, the stray’s name was Venus. Unfortunately, no one came to collect Venus, so Marcy ended up as her foster mom.
Getting the stray to a loving home
Venus already has multiple applications from families that want to adopt her. In the meantime, Marcy says that she’ll provide Venus with a safe and comfortable foster home. Venus seems excited and happy about her foster home and Marcy says that she gets along well with her other dogs.
Marcy doesn’t know if Venus passed other families in the park during her stay there. But once Venus met Marcy, it’s like the dog knew that she was the one. Venus acted totally confident and happy. It’s like she felt that Marcy was a kind and loving person.
