Not every dog gets adopted easily. Some take more time before being discovered. Others require special measures to make sure a lot of people know they exist and are waiting for adopters. One particular pit bull had been staying at a shelter for over 400 days, and one volunteer decided to make a bold move.
A volunteer named Scott decided to do something no one would imagine pulling off. He packed his bags and joined the dog named Queen at the shelter. The goal was to live with the dog and record it until the stunt goes viral online, and people notice it. That way, there’s bound to be someone who will adopt Queen.
The stunt began, and as expected, nobody knew about it at first. Scott knew it wasn’t going to be easy, so he committed to the stunt. Every day he would vlog updates about Queen. He would post about the things they would do together and how close they are. The videos show how obedient and sweet Queen is as a pet.
Soon people started noticing. The posts garnered a lot of attention, and only after a week of staying with Queen, people already reached out wanting to adopt her. When the special day finally came, it was amazing. People at the shelter were throwing confetti to celebrate.
After 400 days of staying at the shelter, Queen finally gets to ride off to her forever home. Her new owner is very enthusiastic, and that energy can be felt when they took a video of her in their car. They were excited to welcome Queen as a new member of the family.
If there’s anything Queen enjoys the most aside from having good company, it’s head massages. Her new owner is an expert at giving a good head massage for dogs. Just take a look at how Queen is reacting to a head massage at the end of the video.
