A man walking on the streets while pushing a cart isn’t a strange sight. However, if you add five dogs following him around, then that’s something that will make heads turn. A man like that exists somewhere in South Korea, and he has an interesting story.
Every morning a man would be seen in town pushing around a cart. He would collect junk that he would later sell in the junk shop. While he’s going about his day, five adorable dogs are not far behind him. Most of the time, they would also right the cart.
Some people thought he was an odd man at first. However, they realized that he was taking care of those dogs. In fact, there was more surprising information about the identity of that man.
After a day of collecting junk, the man retreats to his home on a hill. Upon arriving, he is greeted by more dogs. His home is full of strays that he has been taking care of.
The man also happens to be a monk. In his free time, he is focused on studying Buddhist texts. This explains why he is so kind to animals and why he prefers living in seclusion.
The monk’s efforts did not go unnoticed. A vet visited him and offered free medical care for the dogs. They were vaccinated and given proper medical exams.
A group of dog groomers arrived to give all the dogs a haircut. The help didn’t stop there because he was also given several sacks of dog food that would last for a long time. The monk was deeply grateful for the help he received that day.
The monk plans to continue doing what he does every day. He will care for his dogs, collect junk, and study Buddhist texts in his home. The people around him will also continue to admire and respect him.
