It’s hilarious how dogs can get into fights with everyday objects. The vacuum cleaner is a classic example of this. But it’s not always the vacuum that gets seen as an enemy by dogs. Sometimes it’s a water hose or anything that spouts water.
Nala is a typical energetic pit bull, albeit missing one hind leg. Her disability doesn’t stop her from declaring war on her owner’s water hose and sprinklers every day. Nala would put her mouth on a hose whenever she saw one, attempting to stop the water flow.
During such occasions, Nala’s movements are often reckless, yet she always gets what she wants. Nothing can pry her off a hose unless her owner pulls her away. Once the hose is turned off, she goes into a state of withdrawal.
This habit started during the first day she got adopted. Her owner took her to a public fountain, where Nala began attacking every stream of water she saw. It’s like she lost control of her body because she didn’t care if she bumped into anything.
When Nala is not fighting hoses, she is calm and gentle. Her owner can pick her up like a baby. Moreover, she’s friendly with anyone she meets and has formed a friendship with a delivery woman. This is why she’s often brought to her owner’s workplace.
One day Nala’s owner bought her a paddle sprinkler. It took a while for Nala to figure out how it works. Once she realized that all she had to do was press down on it, she became addicted. Since then, she would try and press every sprinkler she saw.
Nala’s owner loves watching her fight sprinklers. On the surface, it’s a silly activity, but it puts a smile on the dog’s face. That’s why the owner, there’s nothing better than seeing the smiling face of a pit bull, especially Nala’s.
