A nonprofit rescue organization in California called Hope For Paws is widely popular for the countless dog rescues that they have done. They commonly record their rescue operations and these have garnered tens of millions of views.
Many of their subscribers witness the challenges they encounter when they are out saving the lives of dogs in need. Sometimes, they spend hours just trying to get the trust of these homeless creatures. Despite the difficulties, their rescuers do whatever it takes to transform these poor dogs’ lives.
But there are also times when their job is as easy as it can get. Just like this one stray pit bull wandering the streets of downtown L.A.
Brutus
Eldad Hagar is the founder and the primary rescuer of Hope For Paws. In this particular operation, he is joined by one of the group’s seasoned rescuers, a lady named Lisa Arturo. The two of them responded to a call about a dog that was frequenting a busy suburban area. Once they got there, they immediately saw the dog walking around.
The rescuers parked their van by an auto body shop, and the dog merely looked at them when they got out. Unlike other stray dogs, he didn’t run away. Lisa started giving him some treats, and he happily gobbled them up. Eldad talked to some of the mechanics working in the shop, and they confirmed that the large pooch was indeed homeless and was possibly abandoned by his owners.
Lisa, on the other hand, was putting a leash on the homeless dog which they later named Brutus. The gentle pooch didn’t mind and just kept on munching on his treats. When they led him to their vehicle, Brutus eagerly jumped in and sat on Lisa’s lap.
Grateful
All the way back to their shelter, Brutus kept on giving his rescuers kisses. It was as if he knew that his life would be so much better now.
After giving him a bath and a good meal, Brutus was transferred to a foster home. He will stay there until Hope For Paws finds him his forever home. And this time, he won’t be thrown out in the streets.
