Four young engineers are sharing an apartment in the UK where the landlord is adamant that having pets is forbidden. They all had dogs growing up, so being deprived of having one was a downer. But what they saw one day from their neighbor’s window gave them hope.
They immediately composed an earnest email to the neighbor introducing themselves. They explained how they miss having a pet, but their current accommodation will not allow it. Then they nicely asked if they would be allowed to meet with the good doggo they saw gazing out of the window.
The special favor they asked included offers to dog sit and walk the adorable pooch whenever needed. They also asked if they could have him over to help cheer them up. But if that would not be possible, they kindly suggested that they let the dog stay for a while at the window so they could simply take a look. They signed it as “The Boys” and hoped for the best.
Can anyone resist such a poignant and charming request? Certainly not, that even the dog herself was moved to write back with an equally-charming response, with the help of her human, of course. It even had a paw print seal.
In the letter, the adorable pooch introduced herself as Stevie Ticks, a Lab-GSD mix rescue originally from Cyprus. She then demanded belly scratches and ball throwing exercises as payment for her friendship. There were also instructions regarding the initial meet-up written on the letter.
Their first playdate was a raging success that regularly hanging out together is now part of their schedule. Their heartwarming story also became viral that Stevie Ticks is now a rising star of Instagram. Check out her account to follow her adventures with her friends. Thanks, Stevie, for spreading the love!
